What is Neurohaptic Technology (NHT) and how does it work?

Biowin NHT is a special tactile pattern woven or molded into many of our products. Contact with this pattern on the bottom of your feet (like in the case of our socks) or your forearm (with our patches) triggers neurological responses that ultimately reduce pain and discomfort in your body.

What issues do the Biowin products address?

The Biowin NHT pattern embedded within our products can help provide a number of benefits, including increased energy and strength, better balance, and stability.

How can I tell which product is best for me?

Although all of our NHT-embedded products provide the same neurological benefits, knowing which ones are right for you depends on multiple factors, including but not limited to:

• your level of physical activity
• any existing medical conditions you may have
• personal preferences for specific styles of socks or patches

That said, some products are better suited for individuals with specific needs:

• If you experience issues related to neuropathy, diabetes or severe swelling in lower extremities, we recommend our Wellness line of socks for maximum comfort.
• For active individuals, we suggest any of our athletic socks. Each style was specially designed to provide optimal arch support and all-day comfort, no matter the activity.
• If you wear work boots or hiking boots and require a tougher fabric, we suggest any of our outdoor socks. Still unsure which products would be best for you? Get in touch with us and we will be happy to help you decide!

I experience neuropathic-related numbness and/or weakness. Will your socks work for me?

Our Wellness socks have been proven to help with diabetic neuropathy issues. Independent studies have confirmed that the pain levels of 76.9% of subjects tested were reduced from a Pain Score of 4 or higher (“Pain that Interferes with Tasks”) to a 2 or lower (“Can be Ignored”).

How long do the benefits of NHT last?

For our socks, you’ll continue to feel the benefits for as long as there are no damages to NHT pattern that’s woven or molded into the product. In the case of our patches, benefits last for 24 hours for the REM patches and 48 hours for all other patches.

Can I wear a combination of neurosocks and patches?

Yes, you can! Which combination of Neurosocks can be worn with which patch depends on what benefits you are looking to get.

On the one hand, the NHT-embedded Neurosocks offer benefits including enhanced pain management, increased energy, faster recovery and rehabilitation, better balance and mobility.

On the other hand, REM patches help you with better sleep, VaxHaptic patches help you with an optimized immune system and Meta patches help you with an optimal metabolism.

For example, if you are looking for better mobility (which is a benefit of Neurosocks) as well as optimized immunity (which is a benefit of VaxHaptic patches), you can put on both at the same time.

What is the compression rating for your socks? Are they covered by insurance?

Our socks feature graduated compression, but since this type of compression is not considered medical grade, they may not be covered by insurance. Please check with your insurance coverage provider. Our Medical Compression socks, when available in Australia, will have medical grade compression. More details coming soon!

Do your athletic socks have compression?

Yes. All our athletic socks feature graduated (non-medical grade) compression.

How long will it take to feel the effects of your products’ pain management benefit?

It depends! Everyone’s body responds differently, so it can take anywhere from 1 hour to 1 week.

What’s the best way to wash Biowin NHT socks?

We recommend washing our socks by hand with a gentle detergent and allowing to air dry.

Can I wear the patches anywhere on my body?

During the first application of of a patch, it needs to be applied at a specific location. Please refer to specific patches' description and on the packaging.

Can I wear Biowin products with my orthotics?

Our products were designed to provide the same benefits as traditional orthotics, so there’s no need to use both. That said, if using orthotics with our products benefits you, feel free to continue doing so.

I’m unable to select a certain size for a specific sock. What’s wrong?

If you’re unable to select a size, that means the item has sold out. But don’t worry! We regularly restock items, so keep checking the product page for updated availability.

How do I track my order?

As soon as your order is shipped, we’ll send you an email confirming the order, along with a number to track your package. Please note that it may take up to 24 hours for tracking information to appear or update on the courier’s website.
